Native to Newcastle, Joe studied a BA in Performance at Northumbria University & later an MA in Screen Acting at Central School of Speech and Drama. After a period as a jobbing actor he turned to working behind the camera.
Acting Coach
John is a working-class jobbing actor from Newcastle upon Tyne working in all mediums. He gained a BA hons Drama at the University of Sunderland and then an MA in Theatre, and Performance Practice at Northumbria University. John has worked as a Theatre maker, director and producer. He co/founded One For All Productions 2012- 2022 and was their Creative director. As a writer he co-wrote Alpha Mail, winner of Dojo Films 48hour short film competition 2005. As a writer/Director he produced the Short Film “Talking Crap” Shown at the Portobello Film Festival 2008 and in 2014 he was the Project Manager for Heritage Lottery /Arts council funded project about North East Women involved in the Miners strike of 1984, resulting in him writing, directing and producing the play 84 which toured across the region .In 2018 he produced an award winning short Girl and a Scar (Written and directed by Dave Cave) recipient of critic’s choice best short film at the Cardiff International Film Festival.
